I am heading to Australia for a residency program awarded by RMIT iAIR (RMIT University Melbourne International Artist-in-Residence program) in partnership with the Gushul Studio Residency Program through the University of Lethbridge. Congratulations to Brett Graham who was also awarded as part of the program. Brett will be coming to Canada in the Fall of 2016. “Graham’s work engages in a dual dialogue of Maori and European histories whilst adhering to the modernist emphasis on form and material quality.”

“RMIT iAIR is pleased to announce the recipients of the Australian/Canadian Indigenous Arts Residency Exchange, Rosalie Favell [CAN] and Brett Graham [NZL].  This project began in 2011 as an annual residency and exchange partnership between RMIT iAIR and the Gushul Studio Residency Program at the University of Lethbridge in Canada. This project has been developed to connect and discuss Indigenous culture and explore ideas of Indigeneity.” More info
